Kambyo: The Calm Before the Storm

"Kambyo" had its gala night at UP Film Institute last night (July 5, 2008) where the whole cast was present namely, Harold Macasero, Ray An Dulay, Johnron Tañada, Gabz del Rosario, Kanjie Garcia and May-I Fabros (the only girl in the movie).

The movie was a fun-date movie with many amusing parts, but everyone held their breath when the love scene of Ray An and Johnron was shown on screen which got an applause from the audience.

Almost everyone was saying that Harold Macasero (playing Xavier) was very believable in his role and he was a good actor in the movie. Johnron had a very short but effective role in the movie as Ray An's long lost love. Gabz had the most amusing role soliciting amused laughter from the audience. Whilst Kenjie, as usual, along with Ray An delivered good acting like seasoned professionals.

Direk Joselito Altarejos presented the movie as a breather from "Ang Lalake sa Parola" which was sad and from "Ang Lihim ni Antonio" which was tragic. He said that Kambyo is a light movie which will reveal small changes in the big lives of gay/bisexual people.

Watch the uncut movie on it's simultaneous regular run at Robinsons Galleria, Robinsons Metro East and RObinsons Ermita on July 9, 2008. The movie was classified by the MTRCB as R-18 (without cuts).

The third one usually is a charm. From the makers of "Ang Lalake sa Parola" and "Ang Lihim ni Antonio" comes a new movie about rediscovering one's self through a picturesque journey of four friends. Johnron Tañada: Hubad

Johnron Tañada is one of the lead in the upcoming film collaboration of Digital Viva and BeyondtheBox entitled "Kambyo" along with Gabz del Rosario (The Masseur, Provoq) and Kenjie Garcia (Ang Lihim ni Antonio). The Provoq's Kanto Boy used to frequent male pageants before joining Viva's Men of Provoq. He appeared as a macho dancer in "Twilight Dancers" with the College Boy of Provoq Chester Nolledo, as a fireman in the recent comedy flick "Ikaw Pa Rin - Bongga Ka Boy!" along with Anthony Logan (The Yuppie), Gabz del Rosario (The Masseur), and Harry Laurel (Ang Lalake sa Parola) and he was a crowd pleaser in the sexy male show "Cruise" at NBC Tent.

Among the pageants he has joined are Starmall’s Star Model Quest 2004, Sta. Lucia East Mall’s Mr. and Ms. Sexy Body 2005, Mr.Globe Philippines 2005, Face of Bassilica, and Man of the Year International 2005.

Viva has launched Johnron Tañada via a how-to video "Hubad" which featured his gyrating prowess for sensual dancing for men.

He is one of the most sought after among the roster of provocative hot men of Provoq. Can't wait to see his performance in "Kambyo" where he has speaking lines unlike in his previous film appearances.
